With the exception of the Micro Recon 1®, which has a G10-style Griv-Ex™ handle and a small key ring, all Recon 1® knives feature a G-10 handle and a small, extra-tough pocket clip. For left-handed users, it's worth noting that the clip is ambidextrous. Plus, thanks to its small size, this clip won't abrade or irritate your palm, even when using the knife for long periods. With its heavily ridged surface, the artfully shaped handle provides a fantastic grip. And to make opening as easy as possible, each knife is equipped with a thumb disk.

Carpenter American CTS® XHP steel is a high-alloy powder steel with high carbon and chromium content. It has very impressive edge retention. With its extremely fine-grained, uniform structure, it surpasses equivalent mild steels by far. This high-performance steel is used for many products, from top-quality kitchen knives to surgical instruments. Its polished surface has a beautiful satin finish and its edges can be ground extremely sharp, making this steel a first-class blade material for everyday knives.
