The Ti-Lite® series folding knives evoke memories of the smooth nimbleness and rebellious design of the iconic switchblade of the 1950s. Often copied but never equaled, the Ti-Lite®, designed by the great, late Phil Boguszewski, is a masterpiece of performance and style.
For maximum strength and safety, Cold Steel® has equipped the Ti-Lites® with stainless steel liner locks (side spring locks) that have been tested in-house to withstand a weight of over 66 kg (145 lbs.).
To make it easy to carry, the Ti-Lite® knives are equipped with a small, unobtrusive steel pocket clip. They can be opened quickly, either using the thumb pins or by hooking one of the guards onto the edge of the pocket when pulling it out of your pocket.
Zy-Ex™ Ti-Lite®
Because many love the look of the Ti-Lites® but find their price a little too high, Cold Steel® has developed a more affordable alternative. The Zy-Ex™ Ti-Lite® (with 4" or 6" blade) looks almost exactly like its more expensive counterparts, but is made with glass-reinforced Zy-Ex™ for the handle scales instead of 7075 aluminum or G-10 and Japanese AUS 8A steel for the blade instead of S35VN steel. The result is exceptionally light knives that are incredibly strong, sharp, good-looking and affordable for just about any budget.
stainless steel AUS 8A
Cold Steel® has been using the same expertly tempered Japanese AUS 8A steel for nearly three decades now. This steel is extremely well tested and has proven over the years to be an excellent choice for making working knife blades: it is tough and corrosion resistant, while retaining its edge well and being easy to sharpen.
