Statutory warranty at FIGHTWOOD
Statutory rights regarding defects apply to all goods purchased from FIGHTWOOD. Your point of contact is FIGHTWOOD, regardless of whether we manufacture the product ourselves, ship it ourselves, or have it delivered by a shipping partner.
Wood and rattan sticks: contact training and wear
Wood and rattan are natural materials. Our training sticks are intended for the specific use stated in the product description. In Eskrima, Kali, or Arnis training, especially when striking and blocking stick against stick, the material is subject to immediate mechanical stress. This can result in dents, notches, and other signs of wear starting from the very first contact.
The nature and extent of wear depend, in particular, on strike force, impact angle, frequency of use, as well as the material, hardness, weight, and diameter of the opposing stick. Care and storage also influence the service life. Repeated stress can lead to fraying, splintering, cracks, and eventually breakage.
Normal training-related wear is not a material defect and does not constitute a warranty claim. This also applies to cracks or breakage, provided they are due to normal wear and tear and not a defect that existed or was predisposed upon delivery. Also not covered are damages caused after delivery exclusively by improper use, stress unsuitable for the respective product, incorrect storage, or intentional destruction.
Whether normal wear or a material defect exists is assessed on a case-by-case basis, considering the intended use and the statutory rules on the burden of proof. Statutory rights regarding defects remain unaffected. We do not provide any additional voluntary durability guarantee or a guarantee for a specific number of training sessions for our wood and rattan sticks.
Please check every stick for visible damage before its first use. In the event of cracks, splintering, or other safety-relevant damage, it must not be used. This safety notice does not establish a limitation period for reporting defects.
How to report a complaint
Please contact us using the contact options provided in the shop. Your order number, a description of the problem, and photos will help us with our assessment. In the case of damage during training, information regarding previous usage, the contact situation, and the opposing stick used is also helpful, if known. This information supports our assessment; it does not restrict your statutory rights.
