• Wenge grows in the tropical rainforest of West Africa. Wenge wood is hard, heavy, elastic and weatherproof. Wenge is known in this country for its very dark, coffee-brown wood. Wenge has been known since 1883 and is one of the highest price ranges of African wood species.
• Additional weights at the ends make the rotations more comfortable and allow the stick to lie more controlled in the hand.
  The weights are fitted and wedged into a sleeve at the ends. This sleeve also has the advantage that the ends cannot splinter during training or demonstrations with quick or powerful blows on hard surfaces.
