Slim, lightweight and extremely flat, Cold Steel®'s Secret Edge is perfect for anyone looking for an unobtrusive yet highly efficient neck knife. Unlike its heavier, bulkier competitors, the Secret Edge is almost invisible under clothing, and with its weight of approx. 91 g (including sheath), it can be worn effortlessly all day long.
The Secret Edge is inspired by the traditional Scottish dagger Sgian dubh. However, its materials, performance and appearance are thoroughly modern. It features a flat-ground blade made from Japanese AUS 8A stainless steel, which has a wide base for good cutting power and a sharp point for optimal penetrating power.
To give such a small blade maximum grip, the Secret Edge has been fitted with Griv-Ex™ handle scales. The three recesses serve to reduce weight, while the heavily textured surface ensures optimal grip. The handle nestles in the palm of the hand and will neither wobble nor twist.
A matching Secure-Ex® sheath is included. This keeps the knife securely stowed, yet remains light and quickly accessible.
AUS 8A stainless steel
Cold Steel® has been using the same expertly hardened Japanese AUS 8A steel for almost three decades now. This steel is extraordinarily well proven and has shown over all these years that it is excellently suited for blade manufacturing of work knives: It is tough and corrosion-resistant with good edge retention and also easy to sharpen.
