With the patented wave shaped opening feature Emerson invented a quick, efficient and impressive way to open folding knives. This special device is a small wave-shaped projection at the base of the blade. This is designed in such a way that when the knife is pulled out of the pocket, it hooks into the pocket seam and allows the blade to slide into the open position. This quick-opening system is particularly popular with military, rescue and police forces.
However, this opening method requires some practice.
Here comes the Kershaw-Emerson E-Train comes into play. In this Emerson coach by Kershaw, the blade is unsharpened, so you can handle the wave shaped opening feature without damaging your pockets or risking your fingers.
The front handle made of G-10 is in the color safety blue to avoid any confusion with the sharp Emerson models. Thanks to reversible (left/right) pocket clips, the Knife You can easily take it with you anywhere. This way you can use every free moment to practice.
