Bahi wood is a Philippine hardwood that has been flame-hardened in addition to its natural strength. The wood is interwoven with crisscrossing fibers, which significantly increases its stability.
Sticks made in this way are relatively heavy and very hard. Characteristic is the light brown-black speckled grain due to the wood's fiber structure.
