Bob Koga began his martial arts career at a young age, first taking judo at age 12, then wrestling in high school. After graduating from high school, he joined the U.S. Air Force and was deployed to Japan, where he resumed judo training and also trained in jiu jitsu, jo-do, and aikido. After completing his service in the U.S. Air Force, Bob moved to Los Angeles and became a police officer with the LAPD, where he served honorably and with great dedication for 25 years. During his career with the LAPD, he was widely known as a staunch advocate of the classic, straight baton instead of the so-called PR24® baton, the American equivalent of the cross-handled baton known in Germany as the tonfa (also called MES - multi-purpose baton).

The Kubotan Mini Koga SD2 from Cold Steel, made from almost indestructible hard plastic, increases everyone's self-defense potential many times over.
