• Handcrafted Bo with an octagonal cross-section made from fine Asian Kamagong, also known as Asian ebony or ironwood, is a slow-growing tropical wood with no visible annual rings (there are no significant seasons in the tropics). Our ebony comes from the mountains where the climate is harsh, so the wood grows very slowly and becomes very hard and heavy. An octagonal JO is stronger to hold than a round JO.
