RDX T15 Black CE Headguard with Cheek Protection

The RDX T15 Noir head guard with cheek protection was developed for controlled boxing, MMA, kickboxing, and Muay Thai training. Its combination of EVA-LUTION foam, padded cheek elements, and DenZo-Tron SHEET ear covers is designed to dampen incoming impact and provide additional coverage to sensitive areas on the side of the head.

The outer material consists of durable Maya Hide ConvEX Skin™ synthetic leather. A triple Quick-EZ™ hook-and-loop closure system and an adjustable chin strap allow for a personalized fit to the shape of the head. The inner velvet lining absorbs moisture and promotes a more comfortable feel during training.

EVA-LUTION foam for shock absorption

The RDX T15 Noir head guard is padded with EVA-LUTION foam. The padding construction is intended to absorb the force generated by strikes and distribute it over a larger surface area.

As a result, certain stresses as well as the risk of superficial injuries such as abrasions or lacerations can be reduced. However, the actual effectiveness depends on strike force, impact angle, fit, training intensity, and the condition of the head guard.

Integrated cheek protection

The padded cheek elements cover the side areas of the face without fully enclosing it. They can reduce direct contact to the cheeks while simultaneously supporting the widest possible field of view.

By design, the nose, mouth, chin, and central parts of the face remain partially exposed. The cheek protection is therefore not equivalent to full-face protection or a head guard with a protective bar.

DenZo-Tron SHEET ear covers

The lateral ear areas feature DenZo-Tron SHEET padding. It is designed to provide additional coverage to the ears and adjacent head areas against lateral strikes.

Even padded ear covers cannot completely prevent ear, eardrum, or head injuries. Hard, uncontrolled strikes to the ears and back of the head must be avoided during training.

Triple Quick-EZ™ closure system

The triple Quick-EZ™ hook-and-loop closure system allows for adjustment at the back and top of the head. An additional chin strap supports fixation under the chin.

The head guard must sit snugly and securely without causing pressure pain or excessively restricting vision, breathing, hearing, or freedom of movement. It should not shift significantly during fast head movements or light contact.

Moisture-wicking velvet lining

The inner lining consists of a soft, moisture-absorbing velvet material. It is designed to absorb sweat and promote a more comfortable feel.

According to the manufacturer, the material possesses antibacterial properties that can counteract rapid odor development. However, these properties do not make the head guard germ-free or self-cleaning and do not replace regular cleaning and complete drying.

Selecting the right size

Measure your head circumference according to the current RDX size chart. The head guard must fit evenly and close to the body. It should not slip significantly or press uncomfortably on the temples, ears, cheeks, or chin.

After putting it on, check your field of vision, breathing, hearing, and freedom of movement. If you are between two sizes or are unsure about the fit, the selection should be discussed with a qualified trainer.

Care instructions

• Wipe the inside and outside with a soft, slightly damp cloth after each use.
• Use only a mild, material-compatible cleaning agent if necessary.
• Open the hook-and-loop fasteners and let the head guard dry completely in a well-ventilated area.
• Do not store damp in a closed sports bag.
• Do not submerge in water and do not clean in the washing machine.
• Do not use aggressive disinfectants, bleach, or solvents.
• Do not dry on radiators or in strong direct sunlight.
• Remove or insert removable components only according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Important safety and usage notice

A martial arts head guard can reduce certain stresses and superficial injury risks, but it cannot reliably prevent concussions, brain injuries, or skull, facial, eye, nose, jaw, or ear injuries.

Wearing the head guard must never be seen as a reason to train harder or more uncontrollably. Training intensity, technique, and contact must be adapted to the experience level of the participants and monitored by a qualified trainer.

The head guard does not replace a suitable mouthguard or other protective equipment required for the type of training. Strikes to the back of the head, neck, throat, and other forbidden target areas must be avoided.

In the event of headaches, dizziness, nausea, visual disturbances, memory lapses, balance issues, or other symptoms, training must be stopped immediately and medical advice sought.

Before every use, check the outer material, padding, seams, ear covers, hook-and-loop fasteners, and chin strap. A damaged, severely deformed, hardened, or insecurely fitting head guard must no longer be used.

The CE mark is not a guarantee of injury-free training and does not automatically mean that the model is approved for every competition association. Approval must be checked based on the applicable rules.

Normal training-related wear and tear and a gradual compression of the padding do not automatically constitute a material defect. A separate durability warranty is not provided. Legal warranty rights for actually defective goods remain unaffected.
