The AD-15 is based on a patented original by Andrew Demko. In its category (blade length under 10 cm) it is possibly the most comfortable, user-friendly tactical folder that Cold Steel® has ever produced! It is equally suitable for right- and left-handed users and can be opened and closed with one hand.

The spear-point blade with saber grind has a false cutting edge and so-called jimpings (notches) on the spine, which ensure penetration precision and exact, stable blade guidance during fine work.

But the feature that makes the AD-15 stand out from the crowd is its unique hybrid handle, which features Andrew's famous Scorpion Lock . In this system, the lower part of the handle is made of 3D-machined G-10 scales attached to steel plates. The upper part, or shackle , is made of 3D-machined 6061 aluminum with an integrated backspacer that conceals a sturdy compression spring. To open the knife, press the thumb stud and simply watch as the shackle rises and then locks firmly into a deep notch in the tang of the blade. Due to the constant pressure of the spring, supported by the strength of your grip, the Scorpion Lock remains firmly locked and can practically not fail!
