When developing Cold Steel® Pro Lite , the clear goal was to create a pocket knife that offers the strength and durability that Cold Steel® fans and customers have come to expect, but still remains affordable!
The Pro Lite was designed by famous knifemaker Andrew Demko. It features a highly polished, cryo-treated 4116 stainless steel blade (with clip, spear or tanto point) that grinds to a very sharp finish and is incredibly easy to resharpen in the field. The knife also features a robust glass-reinforced nylon handle (in matte black or blue) with an integrated lanyard hole and reversible pocket clip for left- and right-handed use.
The Pro Lite features Cold Steel's groundbreaking Tri-Ad® locking system for added security and strength. It has withstood all of Cold Steel's infamous, extremely rigorous quality control and stress testing! So if you're looking for a sturdy, high-performance pocket knife that won't break the bank, your search is over!
Stainless knife steel 4116
4116 steel is a fine-grained, stainless steel from Germany. It is often used for pharmaceutical equipment and high-quality kitchen knives. Its balanced carbon-chromium ratio ensures both first-class rust protection and great strength. Very fine, extremely sharp edges can be sharpened. An excellent choice for outdoor and hunting knives. Cold Steels® 4116 stainless steel is cryo-treated. This low-temperature treatment ensures significantly better strength, hardness and durability and achieves a higher edge retention.
